New Family Member!!!!!

Nah.....not a grandbaby...although that would be great too!

No...this is a new puppy!!!! Yea!!!!

Little Pissy and her fiance just picked up their new baby today.

He's a 'Shi-poo'....4 months old, 4 pounds, 10 inches long....

because it's such a BIG deal to us...

After today.....

I now know that I will never be this girl.....

Yoga is pretty cool....but I just suck at it.

About the only position I was able to hold was "the pencil"
where you just lie flat on the floor with your arms
straight over your head and your feet pointed.

....and as for "the archer" pose?

I look like something "the archer" shot when I try to do it!

Maybe I'll have better luck with Pilates.

Ouch!

First day of boot camp.....

We did upper body.

By the end of the hour, I could hardly move my arms....they were so weak.

Suzy (trainer) says that within 48 hours we won't be able to brush our own teeth because we'll be so sore.

She took great pleasure in telling us that...and even let an evil little cackle escape her lips.

Humph!

....and when I said that a particular exercise hurt, Suzy said, "Good! That's what I like to hear!"

I think she's evil.....

after the six weeks, I hope to look like this

then I'll go back to the gym and kick Suzy's tiny little ass.

Friday morning I met the fabulous "lla" from the oh-so-cool blog 'Bad Fortune Cookie'.

Loved. Her.

I stood her up by over-sleeping, but she was gracious enough to come back and hoof it through Decatur with me for .....I don't even know how long. We talked the entire time so the distance didn't seem to matter.

She even brought me a gift....that she made herself! How cool is that?!?!?

And the bag she brought the gift in was green....with PINK paper!

Like I said: Love. Her.

...went to the coolest bookstore....'Wordsmith's'

The interior is SO fantastic...I could have stayed there all day

Saturday morning, Z, GAbelle and I went out for breakfast.
GAbelle had the most enormous pancake I've even seen.

Later in the evening we went out to dinner
and to some shops on the square.

I thought these were super cute too...

...but the best was the spider headband.
If I didn't already have my spider tiara from last year
I SO would have bought this.

Playground beauty shop

I went back to school with Gabelle yesterday.

The day was much calmer....still hectic...just not as frenetic as the first day....thank GAWD!

Sadly....I failed to take my camera out to the playground at recess.

Some of the girls in the class got bored....wandered over to the bench I was sitting on...and asked if they could "do" my hair.

I figure: what the hell....go for it!

Soon I was surrounded by 3 little girls...each with a section of my hair in their hands.

Talk about a photo op!

Following are my top five favorite things they asked me or said while "doing" my hair:

1. "Why is your scalp white?"

2. "Do you use grease on your hair?"

3. "How do you like these plaits?"

4. "Do you do Mrs. Gabelle's hair everyday? Why not? You're her mom! "

5. "Let's look for bumps on her head!!!!"

See y'all later....gotta go wash my hair....and check for bumps!

What did you do in school today?

I spent today with Gabelle and her 23 kindergarteners.

I'd tell y'all more about it, but my fingers are cramped from tying kid's shoes all day.

We got the results late Friday afternoon and went out to dinner that night to celebrate.
