Beach Trip!!!!!

I'm leaving tomorrow for Gulf Shores.......Woooooo Hoooooooo!!!

I should be back Friday, but I'm going with Mercedes so you never know what could happen.

When she called me today to confirm our departure time, she mentioned that we may stay at the villa through the Memorial Day weekend.

Yes. I, Prissy Pissy, am staying at a "villa" for at least 5 days.

How appropriate is that????

And since this trip is Mercedes' treat, how could I say no?!?!?

She refuses to let me pay for anything.

*sigh*

It's nice to have rich friends.

I bought a new bathing suit for my trip to Gulf Shores.

I also bought a towel that is an exact match to the suit.

Then I found flip flops that match too.

When I got home and was showing them to Sweet Man, I realized that the suit, towel and flip flops are the same color as my Beetle.

Only I would have a bathing suit and towel that match my car......

I am so prissy that I even surprise myself sometimes.

Yeah.

I found another frog in the toilet yesterday.

But since I'm looking for them now, it wasn't nearly as traumatic as the first time.

This time, the frog looked more like the one pictured. It was really tiny and was on the rim (between the toilet seat and the rim of the toilet~that's how tiny it was).

I'm off to Google "toilet possessed by frogs".

Wonder if this qualifies as one of "The Seven Plagues of Moses"?

It's called a "Leash Law", people!!!!

This a picture of me and the canine love-of-my life~Buster. It was taken around 2 years ago, but he looks the same

He's 5 and a half years old now ....weighs about 15 pounds soaking wet.

He and his older brother~ Andy~ are nev-er out of our fenced back yard unless they are on a leash.

We do this for their protection and because....

wait for it.......

it's the law!!!

So this evening, Mr. Buster and I are out for a walk. He's on his leash, of course. We're walking along, being law-abiding citizens ....enjoying an extremely pleasant day~weather-wise~here in hell.

And who should come bounding down his front lawn towards us but a dog who looked just like this one.

A beautiful yellow lab.

Not on a leash.

His owner is standing way up on her front porch watching the action unfold....saying nothing, not trying to call her dog back.....just standing there watching.....

Buster and I stop. I retract his leash to make him stand right next to me. I say "NO" loudly and sternly to the lab.

He keeps coming. His owner continues to stand in her same spot and watch. Buster and I are in the middle of the street and this dog is all over Buster.

I'm trying to pick Buster up by his red harness the entire time...while trying to keep myself between the lab and Buster...all the while saying loudly, "Please come get your dog!!!!" to the owner who continues to stand on her porch!

Now I know some of y'all are probably thinking that I should have just let the dogs sniff each other....but I've heard and read so many horror stories where unleashed dogs attacked other dogs, etc. I was trying to protect Buster because this lab was at least 5 times his size and I didn't know what he might do. Or how Buster might react.

As I'm turning circles in the middle of the road..... twirling Buster around by his harness like some kind of demented circus act.....trying to pick him up and keep the Lab from snacking on him at the same time....the Lab's owner makes her way down her lawn.

She says, "Oh, I'm sorry. My leg is just out of a cast. I can't move too fast. Don't mind 'Bruiser'....he wouldn't hurt a thing~he's just a big baby".

The Lab's owner is looking at me like I'm nuts.

Like I'm the one who's done something wrong....

Put your dog on a leash, Lab lady!!!!

Just got back from attending two college graduations

in less than 24 hours.....

due to the level of exhaustion that I am currently experiencing

I decided to let Andy select what to post today.

She knows how I am about my clothes. I figured I could trust her.

It's taken me 2 months to get my fuckin' clothes back and the one thing missing?!?!?

Oh Happy Day!!!!

Little Pissy when she was just a year old.

No. Today isn't her birthday.

That's July 7th. She'll be 24.

I know I'm old.

Anyway, today is a happy, happy day en
la Casa de Pissy because today is Little Pissy's first day at her first full-time-great-benefits-good-paying-JOB!!!!

Can I get an Amen?!?!?!!

Now, y'all don't get me wrong.

Little Pissy has always worked. Both my girls have.

But Little P finished her grad school course work in December. This semester she's been doing an internship at thisto-remain-nameless-corporation ~until this past Friday. They loved her and her work so much that they created a position for her; which she began today.

Thursday, May 11th, she'll walk across the stage at the coliseum at Auburn University to receive her Masters in Communications.

Yes, I'm bragging.

I think that's part of my job as a mother.

*sigh*

My work here is done.
