In my ongoing effort to tell y'all shit about my life that is boring and mundane, I share the following:

I made the mistake of downloading this song as my "holiday" ring tone.

What the hell was I thinking?!?!?!?

Of course now it's playing "five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred" times a day in my head!

*sigh*There's $2.49 down the drain....

...but on the upside....I'm super pumped about the Mickey Mouse wallpaper I downloaded for the holidays!

Now that's a $1.49 well spent!

...and plan to read this one next......

and am therefore channeling my inner "Southern Belle", but I have decided to do trays of baked goods as Christmas gifts for my local friends.

I plan to make our family favorite~ Cream Cheese Brownies~ but I need some other ideas.

That's where y'all come in.

I need any easy, tasty, fool-proof cookie or candy recipes that y'all are willing to share.

Yes, I went to the dentist today. It was discovered during my routine cleaning last week that I had a crack in a filling and I'd have to come back.

Whoop de freakin' doo.....

My appointment was at 11:00.

The entire right side of my face was still numb at 3:00.

What the hell do they use that causes you to stay numb for so long?!?!?

...and due to the fact that I have the eating habits of a spoiled child, I hadn't eaten anything but a crispy taco and a small nacho supreme (from Taco Bell) since yesterday afternoon.

Anyway, I was STARVING when I got out of there....numb mouth and all.

Dentist told me to have a protein shake for lunch.

Protein shake, my ass!

I had a shake all right.

A large chocolate shake from the ice cream parlor with the homemade ice cream.

Then I came home and made a casserole for when the numbness wore off....

I'm feeling much better today. I think that healthy does of Nyquil combined with laying around until 4:30 this afternoon helped tremendously.

Still.....I'm not quite up to putting much effort into a post, so here are some pictures of the interior of the new casa.

Thank GOD the store was closed so he couldn't buy it for me.

My visit so far.....

We got to Atlanta late yesterday because a flat tire on the Beetle turned into two new tires being purchased for the Beetle....which in turn delayed our departure by almost 3 hours. *sigh*'

But.....

in the 27 hours since I've been here I've managed to:

* go to both a Target and a Ross

* go to Chick-fil-a twice

* see snowflakes in the Chick-fil-a parking lot (it was magical)

*breakup several fights between Momo and my granddog, Sadie (no one was hurt, and it turns out Momo is deceptively quick on his feet)

*go to Pier One but purchase nothing

*go to the coolest hardware store in exsistence and purchase a cement bust of a woman, some silk vegatables and two key rings.

*hit Kroger at peak pre-Thanksgiving-food-shopping time. I was on my best behavior and only elbowed one rude woman.

*eat a slice of pizza at Fellini's

*blog

Another Saturday night.....

Different couch, different room....one less dog

...and Buster still doesn't want to be distrubed.

Yes, my legs are fat.

Shut up.

and I have no make-up on.

Suck it and deal.

Wasted nights

Can't sleep.....

Again....

Buster woke me up at 2:20 to go out and I'm still awake.

It's 4:35 .a.m.

This happens more and more these days.

I think it has something to do with menopause.

Just one more thing about it that SUCKS!!!

Let me just tell y'all that t.v. is a wasteland of
infomercials and "Blooper" shows at 4:35 in the morning.

I'm waiting for "Angel" to come on Sci-fi at 5:00.

Maybe I'll get lucky and fall asleep first.

Buster's Big Fix

Buster here..... guest posting.

That's me and Mom in the picture below (I'm the one in the red harness).

You may remember me from last Christmas when Mom posted a picture of me in the Elf ears.....or this Halloween when she humilited me by posting a picture of me in that ridiculous "witches hat". She posted a picture of Momo wearing it too ( Momo liked it.....little suck-up).

I look happy, don't I?

Well I won't be happy for long, 'cuz I'm gonna be neutered in the morning!!!!

That's right, people. My Mom has waited six years to have me neutered! What I want to know is: why now?!?!?

She tells me it's "for my own good"....something about my "health".

Don't try to sugarcoat it, Mom.

We both know what you're really doing is cutting off my naughty bits!

That picture below is of my puppy brothers. See how peaceful and relaxed they look?

Yeah.

That's because they've already been fixed. They're being all relaxed and shit just to taunt me.
They're both laughing on the inside.....(assholes!).

As for Mom....she's trying to act like this is no big deal.

But I know it's sorta bothering her.

Notice that pimple near her mouth?

She calls it "stress".

I call it "guilt".

Okay....I'm outta here. Mom is obviously feeling the guilt big time, as she's offering to walk me before "Desperate Housewives" comes on. Since there's nothing I can do about this "neutering" business (afterall, Mom outweighs me by like a thousand pounds), I'm gonna go with it....there are trees to mark and neighbor's yards to poop in!

I brought the flagstone from the old casa.
Sweet man thought I was crazy for bringing it.

we plan to clear out that weird brushy stuff
and then leave it natural.

There is a HUGE Magnolia tree (50 or 60 feet high)which will be beautiful
in the Spring and Summer....

there's also some large wild ferns, pampas grass and elephant ears
along the far edges of the yard.

We plan to plant some azaleas (of course), but mostly leave it natural.

Adventures in DNA collecting: "Baby Ho" edition

Collecting DNA today for the lab.....

In walks a mom and her three children. ....two girls~ 2 years old and 5 years old. A boy~4 years old. All very clean and nicely dressed.

The mom and the older girl and the boy were to be tested.

I get all the required information from the mother...names, birth dates, ssn, etc.

Then I notice the mom and kids keep calling the baby girl by an unusual name.

The name?

"Sugar-mama"

I ask the mom about it and she proudly says, "that's her nickname. We call my other daughter "Juicy"."

"What about your son?" I ask. "What's his nickname?"

"Oh , he doesn't have one...." she says.

Guess he's gonna be their pimp?

Salon Stories: shampoo and poop edition

I shampooed today for the first time.

Have you ever tried to shampoo someone else?

I mean ....someone you weren't in the bathtub or shower with ?

Someone reclined in a shampoo chair with their head leaned back over the shampoo bowl?

It's not easy.

One guy gave me a $20.00 tip.

That was cool.

It almost made up for the 5 year old child who stopped up the toilet on Friday.

Stopped up as in over-flowing-water-running-poop-still-in-the-toilet- stopped up.

The kid must have eaten Thai for lunch that day. He left a dump that looked like a cow pile.

We discovered the disaster when the stench from said dump made it's way past his mom (who was under the hairdyer at the time), and up to the desk at the front of the building.

She watched me and Hair Guy running in and out of the bathroom with mops, buckets, Lysol, papertowels, Comet....etc. cleaning up the disaster.

She said and did NOTHING.

Just sat there and pretended to be oblivious to the mess her child had made.

Bitch.

We now refer to the incident as "Poopy Friday".

And I refer to her as my "least favorite customer".

Exciting times en la casa de Pissy....

This is how I spent my Saturday night.
