Two for one: Book meme and review

Y'all probably know by now that I really don't do memes....mostly 'cuz I suck at 'em.

This particular tag came at a good time. I was reading Stephen King's 'Duma Key' at the time I was tagged. I cannot begin to tell y'all how amazing this book is....it is...in my opinion~one of his best.


Hence~this meme.

Maybe it will encourage some of you to read Duma Key and then come back and tell me what you think of it.

The "rules" of the meme are that you go to page 123 of the book nearest you....find the fifth sentence and then write the next 3 full sentences.

Here goes:

The above may be a little more than "three full sentences"...but I had to type at least that much of it to do it justice.

I read a lot.

All kinds of books.

'Duma Key' is one of the best books I've read in a while.

80's Flashback (and not in a good way)

Yes, y'all.

Today...on the treadmill...I was both disgusted AND fascinated by the woman two treadmills over from me.

She had on one of these:


That's right ~ some crazy-ass time-tripping woman evidently went through her clothing archives, found a BRIGHT TEAL UNITARD AND ACTUALLY WORE THE DAMN THING IN PUBLIC.

TO THE GYM.

IN MY PRESENCE .

AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

....and y'all....this poor woman.....she was at least 65 years old and 50 pounds overweight.

and she didn't wear a t-shirt over the unitard....or try to disguise the weight issue in any way.

It was one of....if not THE most cringe worthy moments I've ever had in the gym in my life.

Just wanted to share it with y'all.

p.s. I don't know why this "suit" is called "cool catsuit" there is nothing cool about it. At all. In any way.

I think y'all are aware of my love of zombie movies.

Anyway....one of my all-time favorite zombie movies is '28 Days Later'.

Two words to describe it: Awe. Some.

So I waited all this time to watch the sequel because it had gotten bad reviews.

There's a reason for that.

Y'all!

This movie SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!

It could have been SO SO SOOOOOOOOOO much better!

What were they thinking?!?!?

Such a waste.
