Saturday!

Whew! My Saturday was jam packed!

Started with the salsa class at 9:30.

From there I went to the pool where Connie and her kids joined me.

We spent the day there where~ after 4 hours~
Connie ended up a lovely shade of pink.

Here are Tanner, me and Connie....
picture taken by my favorite 6 year old....

Bethany

Love. Her.
She's spunky and a hoot to be around.

~also~

She shares my love of pink (and green)
(these are her Crocs)
and
Dancing.
(She's promised to teach me how to "pop and lock" before Little Pissy's wedding.)

Saturday evening we had Weeza and a friend of Sweet Man's
over for dinner.
Grilled chicken, steamed broccoli and a huge salad.

Yum!

Group shot on the patio.

Today I am officially exhausted.

Fitness Friday

Today I lost my mind and stayed at the gym for over 2 hours.

I KNOW!

Someone may have to stage an intervention if this continues.

Anyway.....

I met Toni there at 9:15 for a 15 minute ab class.

That was followed by a one hour "Body Sculpting" class.

Which was really just another way of saying "torture of every part of your body by a super fit 28-year old with a really annoying voice".

But I survived.

Toni and I felt like we didn't get any cardio in the class....so like two dumb asses, we went to the treadmills and walked/ran for 40 minutes.

We left at 11:30.

Toni is even crazier than I am.

She was going back after lunch!

I probably would have too, but luckily I had to work at the salon, so I had an excuse.

Tomorrow morning at 9:30, I'll be at a "Cardio Salsa" class.

If anyone comes dressed like this.

I'll be sure to let y'all know.

Five Questions from Sunshine

I was asked these five questions by Sunshine.

I thought they were interesting questions, but I couldn't seem to come up with very interesting answers.

Sorry, Sunshine!

1 - What's one place you want to see before you die?

That's a tough one....I've lived in Hawaii and in Germany and have been to Paris, London, Rome, Florence, Naples, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland and Austria.

Provence, France? Yes...I'd like to see Provence....live there for a summer....

2 - If you were given a 15 minute shopping spree with unlimited funds, what store would you choose and what would you buy first?

Tiffany's in New York City. I'd ask for all the loose diamonds they could get me in 15 minutes.

Then I'd sell them and buy a vacation home at Rosemary Beach, Florida.

3 - Ghosts: real or fake?

Real. I've experienced their presence.

4 - If it was possible, name a real person from history who would have had an interesting blog you'd like to read and why?

Does it have to be from history? Because I think Stephen King would have an interesting blog. I'm a long time fan of his.

If it has to be someone from history....I'd say John Lennon....pre- Yoko Ono.

5 - Super power you'd most like to have for one day and why?

I was going to say the power to time-travel.....but what if I got stuck in a time that didn't have cute shoes?

So.....I'm going with the ability to read minds.

Then I'd hang out with stockbrokers and pick up good investment tips.

After that, I'd go to the gym to find out what everybody there really thinks of everyone else's body.

Those Wacky Canadians *

Naked cyclists ride their bikes through downtown Vancouver, British Columbia during the World Naked Bike Ride Day June 9, 2007. About 50 cyclists rode through the streets trying to bring attention to pollution caused by cars. REUTERS/Andy Clark (CANADA)

This photo brings so many questions to mind.

Here are some of mine:

1. What is there destination?

2 Will they get dressed upon arrival?

3. Was there a weight limit for the riders?

4. Did the riders bring their own personal bicycle seats (please god!)?

5. If not, will the bicycle seats be destroyed upon the rider's arrival at their destination?

6. Or only disinfected?

7. What type of lube did the riders use to avoid chafing?

8. Was there a "pit crew"....so to speak....in case of flat tires, loose chains, etc?

Your turn.

Any questions?

*No offense, Cad! ;-)

I'll be doing a yoga class Friday morning.

I want to fit weight training in regularly too.

Not as good as a snowball in Hell......

but we'll take it!

It finally freakin' rained today!

A real storm with thunder and lightening and me trapped in Wal-mart with a cart of groceries.

You know it had to be raining hard for me to stay in Wal-mart any longer than I had to, right?

Since I still had my camera in my bag from yesterday's adventure....here are some photos for y'all.

You're excited, right?

I knew you would be.

The rain had slacked off a little by this point.

Hovering near the door waiting for it to stop....

If you're gonna be stuck at Wal-mart,
make sure you're carrying a cute purse

Slow day at the pool

This is what happens when you leave me alone at the pool
with a camera and no one to talk to......

hmmmm.....that little triangle of sun on my chin
explains why its so wrinkly....

They might be big, but at least they're brown....

does everyone's feet look this freakish underwater?

learning how to use the self-timer....
and of course.....
Rude Mommy and her female spawn in the background.
Note golf cart.
Wouldn't want their lazy asses to walk the two blocks from
their house to the pool...

Rude Mommy needs to get those ears pinned back.
Just sayin'.....

Again with the self-timer.....
I cut my own head off....
Bwahahahaha!!!!

trying to be "artistic" and failing miserably.....

Hope all you Daddies out there had
a great Father's Day!
