Pissy's party plops....

Yeah, I know.....but I'm all about alliteration in a title.

Anyway.....I think I have to consider my Halloween party a flop.

Why? You ask....

Because twenty five people RSVP'd that they would attend.

But only 10 people actually showed up.

Yes.

10.

I started not to even mention the party,
but I can't only talk about the successful parties, can I?

*sigh*

At least my decorations were cute.

Halloween Tree de Pissy

Oh!

Anybody want some chili?

I made enough for 25 people.

Only 12 people ate chili.

You do the math.

Surreal Life....

I'm in this gift shop in downtown Hell Saturday afternoon. The one next door to my favorite homemade ice cream/sandwich shop (read: the only one in Hell). I've been stopping in the gift shop a lot this month because they have the cutest Halloween decorations and I keep hoping they'll put them on sale.

So, I'm standing there.... chatting with the woman who runs the place and the bored teenage girl who was unlucky enough to work this particular Saturday....I'm kinda looking at stuff, there are a couple of other shoppers looking around too.....

The woman who runs the place (let's just call her "Psycho")
says to me: "I'll let you have whichever of those ornaments you want if you'll let me have your car."

Me: "Huh?!?!?"

Psycho: (to the room at large) "She has the cutest car! We just love it!"

I should say that in downtown Hell, you can park right in front of the stores. That's how she knows what kind of car I have.

Me: (kinda laughing, but meaning it): "It'd take a lot more than these ornaments for me to hand over my car."

Psycho: (without missing a beat) "I thought of you the other night when I was watching that show Hereos.....remember that part where the cheerleader is on the autopsy table? Yeah, that part made me think of you!"

Me: "Huh?!?!? Why? Why would that remind you of me?!?!?"

Psycho: (to other shoppers) "She has the cutest car, y'all. Oh, don'cha love that doormat? I love it too!"

Me: "Ummmm....why did that autopsy scene remind you of me?

Psycho: "Oh, you know. Because you work with DNA".

The Life and Death of a Pumpkin

Domestic Chicky had posted this link yesterday.

(I think.

My days are sorta running together lately.....)

Anyway, it's one of the best videos I've seen on Youtube.

Tired-ass Tuesday....

I got nothing.

Well......actually I've got a lot.

I'm just too worn out to go in to it.

I will say four things:

(1) We finally closed on the new house today.

(2) I bought two new pieces of furniture this afternoon for the master bedroom (at a fantastic price ~it's fabulous having a friend who owns a furniture shop).

(3) All the great Halloween images I worked so hard to find are saved on the laptop which refuses to connect to the internet (don't ask).

(4) I want this t-shirt:

"We not only sing, but we dance just as good as we want."

I sat in my car outside Pier One this morning just to listen to Archie Bell and the Drells "Do the Tighten Up" on the radio, and discovered....while I was sitting there doing the car version of "the tighten up".... that my pink polka dot cosmetic bag had sprung a leak.

*Sigh*

Guess we have to take the bitter with the sweet sometimes....

Why?!?!?!

I just want to know what it is about moving that has made my face break out.

That is all.

Goddamn huge-honkin'-red-inflamed-lookin' pimple on my chin!

....and we won't even discuss the tiny one in the corner of my mouth.

Or the little one on my forehead.
