Over at
Eve's she has a post up today about salsa and margaritas.
It reminded me of something I overheard yesterday....
I was in Hell's only kitchen specialty shop.
While I was on one side of the check-out counter, another customer across the way was talking about how she was buying a margarita machine because she'd "just had a pool put in for the kids....so I deserve something too...."
The clerk told her it was $199.00.
The owner of the shop (who'd been waiting on me) turned around and said, "Oh, no. The Margarita machines are
$299.00 not $199.00."
Ladron!!!
I'm pretty sure you could buy an actual Mexican to fix your margaritas
for you for $299.00!!
...and before anybody gets pissed off: it's okay for me to say that because
I'm Mexican.
Oh....and in an interesting side note: I grew up in San Antonio, Texas in the 60's. Back then....Wednesday was
"Mexican food day" in the school cafeterias of the district where I went to school.
Today is Wednesday....coincidence?
Hmmmmm.....
Hasta la vista, baby!

p.s. Fridays were
"Fish Day" in the school cafeteria. So my school district was "politically correct" before anybody ever heard the term. They not only kept all the Mexicans happy, they pleased the Catholics too!
p.s.s. I was raised Catholic. Don't start with me.
