Sad and shocking news from Decatur.....
Devon was with me this afternoon when I discovered the loss of my beloved Jin-Jin (our favorite Chinese restaurant).
Gracie and I are observing an official period of mourning which will begin Tuesday afternoon.
We'll have a moment of silence and light a candle in front of our little shrine which will consist of a statue of Buddha, a Jin-Jin menu and an empty take-out box. Featured background music will be provided by a cd of Tibetan monks chanting their chants of mourning.
We will be attired in matching kimonos.
zai jian, Jin-Jin.....zai jian......
*wiping a tear*
LOL you are hysterical! You will have to go hunting for a new Chinese Restaurant won't ya!
ReplyDeleteHATE when stuff like that happens!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your place closing. :(
So sorry to hear about your beloved Jin-Jin. There are so few places that serve good Chinese food. Out of the dozen or so in my area I only eat at two of them. I hope you find a good replacement restaurant soon.
ReplyDeleteHow's the shoulder feeling?
Sad! I never even got to eat there! boo.
ReplyDeleteWe lose Sage and then you lose your Jin-Jin? What is this world coming to?
ReplyDeleteOh no!!! Good restaurants are so hard to come by any more... but I am sure you will find a good replacement!!!
ReplyDeleteRecently, we've had two new Mezkin restaurants, and two new Chinese restaurants to open here in Shoesville... we no longer have a stray animal problem!!!

Oh honey, I feel your pain. A few years ago our very favorite Chinese restaurant-- the one with the amazing garlic shrimp with noodles.... It went Kosher (seriously!) and now there's no more shrimp.
ReplyDeleteOy for both of us.
