I won't say "I'm lovin' it"

it's more a case of "I'm gettin' used to it".

I've posted before about how we don't have anything even slightly resembling
a Starbucks here in Hell.

The closest one is a 30 minute drive away.

And even then there are only two: a kiosk in Target and a sort-of-cafe in Barnes and Nobles.

So....I'd settled on buying these

in 4-packs.

When I first started buying them around a year ago, the 4 pack cost five bucks.

Sometimes I could get a 4 pack on sale for less than that.

Not too bad for something that I really enjoyed.

Then....they went up to $6.00 a 4-pack.

...and that's at Wal-mart....AND the local Dollar General.

For some reason, paying $1.50 a bottle for those little suckers just got to me.

It's just too much.

Don't ask me why.....it just IS.

Now....I've switched to this

A regular iced coffee from McDonald's.

A "regular" cost $2.19 before tax
and that's for a 20 oz. cup.

Yes, there is a lot of sugar in it.

and no, it doesn't taste quite as good as the Frap.

But in a way, that's better.

I can't keep a 4-pack in my fridge...
conveniently available for consumption at any time

and the McDonald's here is such a pain in the ass to get to that I probably
won't go to the trouble of getting one very often.

Guess I should just trying making iced coffee myself, huh?

This is my weekend so far.....

Are things as exciting where you are?

**Note**

The additional dog is my grandpuppy, Reuben.

Little Pissy and her husband dropped him off yesterday on their way to Destin.

(Pssst! Don't tell her, but I may not let her have him back.)

How did I miss this ad campaign?

I came across this ad today.

According to what I read, this was part of an ad campaign Nike did in August of '05.

I agree with a lot of what the copy says....

My butt IS big and round

Ten thousand lunges have made it rounder

Not smaller

However....

my "letter C" ass is not nearly as perky as hers

But (heh!)

that's OK.

After 15 solid months of working out, eating right (for the most part)
and generally living a healthy lifestyle
I accept my ass for what it is.

Big.

I was misled...

I feel it is my duty as a fellow blogger to warn y'all about the evils of

"Greek Yogurt"

(this was the exact brand I bought...the vanilla flavor)

After paying $1.46 (at WAL-MART, mind you) for a 5.3 oz container, I expected it to be the nectar of the Gods that it had been touted to be.

It was not.

Yes, it was much more dense than "regular" yogurt, as the article I'd read stated.

It was also less tasty and was only made palatable by the addition of mini-chocolate chips.

As I'm sure y'all know, there's just not much in this world that can't be made better by the addition of chocolate.

This concludes my public service announcement for today.

Carry on.
