I spent all afternoon yesterday working on my ebay listings.
I've been meaning to sell stuff on ebay since I quit working and just never got around to it.
Last week I posted a couple of things, and they both sold for way more than I expected them to~so YEA!
Now I've got the fever!
I took 40 pictures yesterday for my listings....then uploaded them...edited them....and did my listings.
No. I didn't use all 40 pictures.....that's just how many I ended up taking.
I know everything I list won't sell....and if it does, I might not get at much as I hoped to for the item. But the stuff is just sitting here at the house (or storage building) so what have I got to loose, right?
.....and in other shit that y'all don't care about~ I've decided that
this

I've never been able to figure out e-bay. One day I will and then I will be all addicted. Then you won't have anything left in your house as I will have bought it all.
ReplyDeleteI should try e-bay out too. I just wind up throwing stuff away and I could missing out on a small fortune.
ReplyDeleteI love hoops & yoyo...
ReplyDeleteI think it's the color of them.
(strange, huh?)
I've done the ebay thing...made lots of money and then spent it all on other stuff on ebay.
It is very addicting... kind of like a yard/garage sale but better because people don't 'see' you looking through their stuff.
lol
I've got to check out Ebay too. I'm sure it's another thing for me to be addicted to. Just what I need.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with that & please don't sell my blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm listing just a couple of things today too. Weird. There must be something in the water.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to buy mine, they're little dresses Emersyn has outgrown, so I don't think they'll fit you even though you're cute.
I was an addicted ebay seller from 2000 - 2003. The thing that finally broke my habit was that I had to go to work full time. After that, I didn't have time to spend writing up ebay posts and shipping packages. Ebay selling really does take a lot of time! Best of luck to you. I made plenty of money doing it; I'm sure you will too.
ReplyDeleteI'm so pround of you!! Good luck with the latest lot! BTW- i just sent you a long email! Miss you!
ReplyDeleteI have some stuff I have to post on ebay too, I thought I would try Craigslist first and have sold three of the items.
ReplyDeleteGive us a link to what you have for sale on there ;)
whats the link to your ebay listings?
ReplyDeleteHave fun, I hope you make tons of money! I used to sell on ebay some, not I just buy! ;)
ReplyDeleteLittle story about EBay. Hubby thought it wise to use lots of pictures. Sold stuff. EBay bill comes. Over 100 dollars! I could have fell over. When I sold on EBay my bills were never over 10 bucks, his stuff was worth more so I expected more but not even half that. What those hidden costs!
ReplyDeleteAnd Good Luck!
P.S. What are you selling anyway?
WATCH the hidden costs and it's ebay.....kids are so distracting!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid of ebay. I really should try it though, I've got a lot of crap that would probably sell.
ReplyDeleteOne of my other bloggy friends did this the other day too. I've got a pile of stuff waiting to go somewhere, but I can't make myself do anything about it.
ReplyDeleteI love the CD/DVD store near my office. They take my crap and give me more. I just wish they took books and rollerskates and such. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat did you sell and for how much?!?
I'll look for you on E-bay...but I'm not buyin Girl stuff!
Speaking of hidden costs, big A told me to tell you that the buy it now option costs more because ebay got sued a year or two ago because they don't have a license for the buy it now feature because they didn't have the copyright for it. You probably already knew, but i still thought I should pass it on. Congrats again on selling the dress so fast - LOL! You're on a roll!
ReplyDeleteI have the same Q as 'Dehumidifier' ... I need a link on order to browse! We need a link!
ReplyDeleteL.
i've bought stuff from ebay, but never sold
ReplyDeletei look forward to hearing your experience
and yes, 14...
but hey, i have a miniature starship enterprise on my shelf at work beside my squishy penguin
****
ReplyDeleteGuys,
I couldn't figure out a way to do a link, so for anybody who wants to look at my listings: go to ebay
click on "community"
@"find a member~type in nancy_sprad
then click on "seller's items"
that will take you directly to a listing of all the items I have for sale. Right now, it's just 8 items.
pud: it used to scare me too, and then I decided to just go for it!
corky: you should! It's so easy! I've been giving away and donating stuff for years. I should have been doing this.
mrs slushie: That's it! The colors. :)
and you're exactly right about ebay!
jenn: I know what you mean! ;-)
rat: thanks! and I won't! *LOL*
sunshine: that IS weird! I'm sure Emersyn's dresses will sell fast. :)
kc: Oh! I may have to come to you for advice! I'm such a beginner!
little p: Thanks! and thanks for encouraging me to do it! :)
pixie: we don't have Craig's list here...as far as I know. See top of comment for a way to find me on ebay. :)
de: see above
shopper: I've only ever bought before...and I'm sure I'll continue to buy now! *LOL*
butterfly girl: I know! I always check to see what it's going to cost before I list it. Those fees can add up fast!
lady k: I was too! But believe me, if I can do it~you can too! :)
ajooja: I wish we had a store to sell used cds and books...nothing like that around here. :(
hippo: sorry! it's all girly stuff right now.
little p: yeah...it's like 20 cents or something. It's been worth it so far! *LOL*
L: Hope you find me! :)
cad: ....but admitting I'm 14 on the inside is the first step towards recovery, right?!?!? ;-)
How can we buy from you if we dont know what your ebay link is? I have plenty of stuff I could sell, but Im not real good about packing stuff and shipping it out. Im lucky to get a bday card out on time. But money can be made on ebay....my friend does it all the time. I have bought a few things from ebay and it was always fun.
ReplyDeletecatch: *LOL* see the top of my comment....hopefully you can find me that way.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty good about mailing things out...especially when it involves me having made $ off something! ;-)
They are prett cute.
ReplyDeleteIf my hubby would not kill me I could get the Ebay fever with all the collectable crap he has in storage.
mimi: *LOL* I know! We have a box of comic books in our storage building that I was all ready to list.
ReplyDeleteLittle Pissy said no~she wants to keep them! ;-)
Hoops and YoYo scare me. They are just so damned perky.
ReplyDeleteYou are a 50 year old woman trapped in an 18 year olds body.
ReplyDeleteI've SEEN the pics, woman!

Just pick the city closest to you ( check out some of the personals & Rants & Raves too they are usually a hoot)
You have some nice stuff on e-bay, and according to ebay you are 555 miles away from me ;)
You've had alot more luck on eBay than my housemate. He gave it one go with no sale. Aw, not everyone wants a thousand dollar RC car.
ReplyDeleteyou go girl. Im lazy, I just took my stuff to a consignment shop.
ReplyDeletefuzz: they ARE pretty darn perky! ;-)
ReplyDeletecp: I wish!!! *LOL*
pixie: Thanks for the craig's list hook-up. :)
Only 555miles?!? We could meet halfway! ;-)
orhan: I'm not selling anything expensive...I'm sure that makes it easier.
cat: we don't have those in Hell....
