T...a...r...g...e...t

We finally have a Target within the proximity of Hell. It's in Dothan, a 30 minute drive away. Sweet Man and I went there today for the first time (it opened two weeks ago....I restrained myself and let the crowds die down a little before going).

While I was in the check out line buying these....

(Yes. I bought six pairs of reading glasses ($1.00 each).

I had to.....some asshole stole my perscription reading glasses right off the table at Captain D's last night. I loved those frames. They were big and black and so cool. I hope whoever stole them gets killer headaches trying to wear them..... the dumb ass....)

The woman in line behind me was writing out her check.

She asked the cashier how to spell "Target".

Seriously.

  1. Man, I love some target. I can't go into that place without spending at least fifty bucks. It's not even intentional. And there's one two blocks from my house.

  2. Me too!

How can you NOT spend at least fifty bucks?

I always find at least one thing from every department that I HAVE To have. ;-)

  4. I saw those the day of the freakish pretzel incident at Tragit. I mean Target. ;) I love those dollar bins. It bugs me how some stuff is 2.50 though. That messes up my brain. I'm glad you have one near you now. That's a giant step. ;)

  5. mist: she did! I was impressed.

shoparound: I was glad to find them for a buck. This way if some asshole decides to steal them, I'm not out anything. and I never have to look around for my glasses anymore...b/c I can have a pair in pretty much every room in the house. *LOL*

...and the $2.50 stuff seems wrong somehow....it needs its own spot. ;-)

I'm THRILLED that we have one so close now! Before this, the nearest one was in Montgomery, and hour and a half away.... :(

  6. We have a Target near us now too, but I have never been there yet. I am anxious to go b/c I have never been in a Target store. Ours is about 30 minutes from here too. I always go shopping in the opposite direction though. Ill have to make it a point to check it out.

  8. Careful Pissy. That store has ruined my life... I don't/can't shop anywhere else anymore. I'm a slave to target.

  9. I am so lucky. I could walk to the one by me, but I could never walk home with all the bags. A 2 minute drive. It's the upside of living in an area with 16 million people. We have everything.

  10. You have a Captain D's??? Ours closed down years ago. :(

And I too hope the effers that stole your glasses get headaches the size of migraines. I hate people like that.

And that lady that can't spell Target? Hmmmm, was she edumacted in Hell? Cuz seriously....

  11. Pissy, I don't want to make you jealous but I live right in between TWO Targets that are less than 10 minutes from me. Doesn't that make you drool? If one Target is out of something, I can run right over to the other one and get it. Love, love, love Target!

  15. Target is my happy place. I was just there today and spent over $100. I got clothes for my 4 year old daughter, vitamins, juice, hairbrushes, easter egg coloring kits, and on and on. Their marketing, their atmosphere, everything is genius. They SUCK! LOL! I have never been able to escape that place for less than $50, just like dehumidifier.

  16. Too bad, I'm always loosing my specs. I guess our equivelent to Target would be Walmart in Canada.
You can never have enough glasses. I found a pair on a parking meter and tryed to wear them. I swear, I almost went blind!
    Thanks for the visit
I like your blog and will link when Pixie gets back to the blog roll.
She must be tired of my inept Computer skills by now.

  18. God, people are so damn dumb, aren't they? There's a story going around today about the point guard for the University of Oregon basketball team; he didn't even know Oregon was a state until he went out there. Ron White was right, you can't fix stupid.
