Does this kind of thing only happen in the South?

  1. I've never seen that before so I'm going to vote "south only" right now.

But Jeez, that's so ghetto fabulous!

  5. Believe me, its not just in the south. Some people have kids just so they can pimp them out.

  8. Sadly I don't think that's just a southern thing. But yeah, I've now officially seen everything...

  10. There was a kid in my daughter's class last year who came to school like this everyday. He was six years old!

  12. Pissy,
I can't believe you are dissin' my home boy! I thought I dressed him to be the bomb!
I thought you knew why we we're borrowing your gold chain?

  13. That looks like something I'd do.

    But I'd be joking.

  14. No, it definitely occurs here in the D.C. area too! Pretty funny. But of course I also dress up my cat...*sigh*

  15. Holy crap! I would say not only in the south, but specifically in the "hood"...
Never ceases to amaze me the junk people come up with... Parents probably have mirrored ceilings & walls, except for the leather, studded walls, that is, and the padded headboard so they don't get a concussion...
You can't legislate taste, but holy crap... that's pretty bad...

  16. P.S. that is almost as bad as the decorations at the party I had (shared with someone else) this weekend. They would have made you run screaming.

  18. Depends on the context... when my oldest was about that age we dressed him up in a mini pilot uniform. 'Course, that did wreck him for life...

  19. Hi BP

Thanks for stopping by my Arcturus blog (my regular blog now, though, is my Regulus one).

    I hope you're doing well.

Re. this entry, I don't think the South has any particular monopoly on people doing strange things like dressing their babies up as gangsta rappers.

  20. That is seriously disturbing. I wonder how you'all ever lost the war.

  24. That is a perfect example of "you live what you learn." and I firmly believe that.

  25. Pissy, didn't see an email address, so the answer to your question - priceless religious artifact... treasure of the gods, destroyer of mere mortals, said to possess strange powers... the Stanley Cup. ;-)

  26. That's just so wrong. I think they should have dressed the baby in an Elizabethan doublet with a nice big ruff around his neck. But that's just me. :-)

  27. wrong, just wrong, on so many levels.
