Yes, I am on voluntary Reuben duty this weekend.
Look at that picture.
He is working his cuteness SO hard.
I can't resist him.
I absolutely ADORE dogs.
I'd have 10 if I could.
So.....
Who is a "dog" person?
and
Who are the "cat" people?
Anybody out there have both?

oh im a both..for sure..I love my kitty's and love my doggies...i am babysitting jamie's schnauser and he's a trip..he and dexter have full out play fights all over the place..
ReplyDeleteCasa Hice is both canine and feline friendly. One mini Dachshund (Augie) who is going on 16, one Siamese cat (Tang Tang) with gorgeous deep blue eyes and an attitude, one pitch black cat (Salem Binx) who weighs about 25 pounds and is the biggest wuss ever, and one visiting temporary resident orange tabby (Velcro) who has set this house on it's ear. Oh... and did I mention 40 Mallards come twice a day to get their cracked corn fix? Oy. We are overrun by animals... and wouldn't have it any other way.
ReplyDeletePS: Reuben really is freaking adorable. :0)
3 dogs here. Great smile! so pretty!
ReplyDeleteUsed to have dogs and cats, not now, Maybe again?
ReplyDeletePS Crashed in from YnB
*raises hand* Dog.
ReplyDeleteI don't do cats.
Jacque Sue: I love to see a dog and a cat play together. It's usually hilarious. :)
ReplyDeleteAlix: 40 MALLARDS?!?!?!? Whoa!!!! I'd love to see a picture of them at feeding time! LOL Awwww...a Dachshund! Our very first dog was a Dachshund....Barney. We were fortunate enough to have him for 16 years. Best. Dog. Ever.
Yep, Reuben is adorable and he knows it! ;-)
Sage: 3 dogs! Love it! We had 3 for years and years. :)
Thank you! :)
Dave: Maybe! Be sure to let us know when/if you get either!
Thanks for visiting! :)
Kimberly: I hear ya! Although I am proud to say that I have at least gotten to the point where I can tolerate cats.
Not own one.
Just tolerate cats that belong to others. ;-)
Thanks for visiting! :)
i like both. each has advantages and disadvantages.
ReplyDeletei'm allergic to cats, but you don't have to clean up poop piles on walks and the back yard.
dogs need exercise which would get me off my duff, but winters here are wicked cold.
both are snuggly (depending on the pet's own preference).
both give love galore.
dogs are much like toddlers in their need for attention. cats are happy being ignored, except when they're not.
because dogs require an outside toilet space we have a cat. she's lovely.
If I weren't allergic to cats, severely allergic to cats I'd have a calico one.
ReplyDeleteDogs for me, then.
Oh, and I just ask Rory to come see you with R, and he turned around and walked out of the room. I believe he may be jealous.
dykewife: you make some good points for both sides. I will say that cats are easier to care for. Not to mention more (rental) places accept cats. For example, I could have a cat here in my apartment, but not a dog. :(
ReplyDeleteHolly: Ah....allergic to cats. That's a shame, because I'm sure you'd be a fabulous Mom to a calico. :)
Oh, Rory knows I love him! He's the only Scottie for me! :)
BOTH!!!
ReplyDeleteI was a dog person but ended up with cats because I lived in apartments. My first cat was wonderful. She was extremely friendly and loyal. My next two cats were more cat like but I love them just the same.
My dog is a spoiled, trouble making beagle. If I judged all dogs by him, I would be a cat person. Luckily, his beagle cuteness washes away all his problem behaviors.
(M)ary: See there! You make a great argument for having cats. I actually considered getting a cat since my apartment building accepts them, but everyone I know had a fit. LOL
ReplyDeleteCat person all the way...I've been described as "cat-like" too. I think that's just the IT guy in me..."I don't need you, you need me" kind of thing :)
ReplyDeleteMike: LOL! Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I am a dog person . . I'm sure you've read about the wee Henry on my blog . .
ReplyDeletebut for now, another dog has to wait. Because they are like extra kids. And right now we have enough real ones.
I do enjoy a good cat though. Just one though, one to snuggle on the chest after the house gets all quiet. I recommend the Siamese because they are gorgeous and never get chubby. And loud! Oh my goodness the loud ;)
