City Penguin, a friend of mine (anonymous comments occasionally) and now Top Cat have all mentioned having problems viewing my blog since the redesign....
Is anybody else out there having problems?
City was seeing a different header than the gothic looking "Southern Circle of Hell". Friend and TC are having difficulty reading the print on the background.
There shouldn't be any problem reading the print. It should be white on a black background.
I've already contacted the designer once. She responded quickly that it was probably a problem caused by whichever browser the reader was using (and which one I was using) and then told me how to fix the problem.
I deleted cookies, etc. last night and hoped any problems would be remedied.....
Please let me know if any of you are having problems viewing the blog and what the problems may be......

I started using Firefox about a month ago. It seems to show everything it's supposed to. I'll never go back to Explorer.

I have trouble reading the text to the left that overlaps the camo devil. It is hard to read the white over the orange. But the half that's white over black, that I can read.

hot lips: Thanks for responding1 there shouldn't be any text over where the camo devil is...are you using Explorer or Netscape? I use Explorer. Designer suggested going in and deleting cookies if I didn't want to change browers. Let me know if you stil have problems. she also gave me a link to use on explorer to clear up any problems... Penquin uses a Mac and her browers is Safari...
on my windows computer at work, the page overlaps itself when I have my favorites sidebar open. When I close it out, the screen spreads out and it's fine.

I have the same probs as hot lips. I'm using explorer. The concept looks cool,tho!

Some of the text overlaps the graphic on my mac (i use safari, osx tiger) but it's probably because I keep my windows pretty small on my already small screen. Even when it overlaps the graphic I have no problem reading it, though.
ReplyDeleteI must be a fucking idiot. I cleared my cookies...not tossed...just cleared. I did it on both IE and Firefox but am still seeing the text on top of camo-Pissy. If it can't be fixed, I'm still coming around to see what makes you tick. I can't let a fellow freak-show go by the wayside! I like ya too much!

ReplyDeleteI use IE and don't have any problems seeing your blog. I love your new lay-out so much that I contacted your design company and am having them do a re-design of my blog. I've got to wait in line for a while, though, as they seem to be extremely busy. Sometime in the next week or two, expect to see major changes at my site!

ReplyDeleteAs others have commented the text to the left is over you the camo figure and I can only read the top line as it scrolls, the right side is fine against the black.

Perhaps some display changes are in order for some of your readers. If their display is set to 800 x 600, I can see where there would be problems. If the screen is not open to "full screen" I can see problems, too, because the screen resituates itself based on how big the window is.
ReplyDeleteIf you like, I can take another look at this and see if I can prevent the text from moving based on the size of the window, or we can adjust the layout so that the girl on the left is just in the header.
Just let me know.
ok, just changed the screen setting from 800 x 600 - now I can see the pictures just fine.

Gotta go back to 800 x 600, sorry.
It works fine at 1024 x 768, but like rocky, the print is too small for me to see it well enough.
