Adventures in DNA collections: Smooth Operator Edition

It finally happened.

I got hit on today during DNA collections.

I'm not counting the prison guard at the jail last month.
That's another story....

So today, in bops this tall, skinny white guy in his early 30's......super perky and friendly.

As we're both taking our seats to begin the paperwork, he says: "You really do the color pink well....your blouse, your shoes...looks good on you!"

me: Thanks.

him: "I don't know why I have to take this test. I know she's my daughter. I've been her Daddy for 5 years....since she was born."

me: (trying to be nice and make conversation) " I have daughters too. But they're older."

him: "Older? What? Like 11?"

(OOOOhhhhhh.....he's so smooth!!!!!)

me: "No. Like 27 and 24."

his oh-so-clever reaction: "Wow! That Oil of Olay stuff really works!"

Yes. He ACTUALLY said those words......

So if anything should happen between me and Sweet Man, I'll be looking this dude up and I'll know where to find him.

Wanna know why?

As he was leaving he made sure to tell me he works 2nd shift at the Waffle House.

You know.

In case I want to stop by and see him sometime.

Be still my heart.....

  4. Girl he sounds like a keeper. He probably gets a discount, and they are open 24 hours a day!!

Little energetic full of themself guys like that are funny. I would have loved to seen the look you gave him when he gave you the pink compliment.

    Too funny!!

  7. Hi Big Pissy,
This guy sounds like a total pig sleaze bag. Men who “come on” to every woman they meet are total Neanderthals. This particular one sounds like he’s eaten a few too many waffles and fried whatever brains he once possessed. Stay with your “sweet man” and the zucchini.

  8. Okay, okay, so you're not interested, but maybe one of your daughters likes waffles.

    Just kidding! Just kidding! Really!!

  12. he might have been admiring the pink for a different reason.especially since he knows what oil of olay is.

You go girl, you still got it, shake what your momma gave you!

  13. Wow! His pick-up tactics were smoothe. Better than him honking and screaming out his car window at you.

  14. I like his moves. Don't discount the dude, he could be the manager at Waffle House...now wouldn't you look silly if you lost that opportunity?

My style of "flirting" is staring at you until I get the evil eye. Then I know I've made a connection.

  18. LMAO! That story is priceless. I haven't been hit on in forever. Perhaps if I tried actually making eye contact with people. And stopped wearing that t-shirt that says "I'm antisocial so fuck off".

  19. The only place I ever got food poisoning was a Waffle House.. but free bacon and pancakes would be tempting! ;)
I don't care who hits on me, it's still flattering and good to know I still got it! And you, Miss Pissy, have GOT IT!!

  23. I'm surprised you don't get more smooth-talkers like him!

Oil of Olay works! I buy the unscented with sunscreen. Love it. I might be an old gal, but I'm an old gal with less apparent wrinkles now.

When we go on road trips, we count the number of Waffle House (or just their signs) along the highway. We once passed an intersection that had a Waffle House on each side of the road. WTF? Duelling Waffle Houses!
