The Plague upon Pissy

I am officially freaked out now.

I didn't post about my most recent frog home invasion because I figured y'all were probably tired of hearing about them by now.......

But when I encountered one today at the pool..... I decided I'd better go back to last Saturday when I came home from Gulf Shores......

Yeah. You guessed it.

I walked in to the bathroom here at home, lifted the lid on the toilet, and there it was.

Just sitting there.

Staring at me.

Wondering where I'd been.

Sweet Man said he hadn't seen any the entire 6 days I was gone.

Well of course not!

That's because they wait for ME!

So this morning I get to the pool. No one is there but me. What should be swimming around???

I know y'all are thinking: that's not unusual. Frogs go to water, right?

I've been going to this pool for 5 years and have never seen a frog in it before.

I get the net and fish him out.

A little later, I'm floating near the side of the pool, look over to the decking, and sitting there is the frog I'd fished out!

What are the odds that the frog would come to the exact spot in the pool where I was?

Pretty slim, I'm thinking.

I read an article here that stated that since 1989 populations of amphibians seem to be rapidly disappearing.

I can solve their little mystery.

They're disappearing from the rest of the world because all the little fuckers are here in Hell following me around!

  1. Honest, that is just icky.

I say call an exterminator. I couldn't enjoy a nice read in the potty if I thought some FROG was going to be near my hooha.

  2. I love frogs.

Probably more than I love women. TMI? Well that's too bad Frog-lady!

  3. Hi big pissy,
I wish I could say “cute frog pictures” but they give me the creeps! I’d be constantly constipated if I ever found a smooth-skinned, web-footed, leaping amphibian in my toilet! You deserve a lot of credit for going back in the pool after fishing one out.

Maybe your “prince has come” and you just don’t recognize him! But I think you’ve got to kiss him first, and I sure as hell wouldn’t want to be doing any lip locking with a slimy horny-toad.

  4. Maybe you should think about using the restroom at the Shell station down the street from now on... :p

  5. Yuck! I hate frogs. They feel icky, all squishy and wet and cold. And to find one in your toilet? Beyond disgusting. *shiver* I wonder why they've picked you to torment?

Arrived via Mr. Fab - I kept meaning to visit after he mentioned you and then forgetting. Sorry!

  7. I dont mind frogs at all, but this thing with you and the frogs is getting freaky! Maybe you need a frog exorcist?

  8. OMG! Now I know we are long lost sistas! Frogs LOVE me too! I had one in my shower one morning! I jumped out screaming and sliiped on floor..... CRASH! Had one sitting on bathtub one night. They are all over the windows at the Cathouse every morning! We live deep in woods and you should hear the noise at night!
    I feel your pain, dahling!

  9. hot lips: you are a mean girl.

buddha girl: I KNOW! I'm going to have to call one. I don't think they're gonna go away on their own....

hippo: You ARE a hippo. I would expect that.

miss litzi: *sigh* I know they're creepy.... I mostly don't use that bathroom anymore b/c I'm afraid of the frogs....

heh! My "prince" came14 years ago: Sweet Man! I'll kiss him all day long~ but the frogs? Not so much! :)

bruce: Ya know....if gas prices weren't so high, I'd consider it!

erin: so do I!!!! Maybe that's why they pick on me!

thanks for hopping over from Mr. Fab's!

Sorry for the poor "frog humor". I am possessed, you know. ;-)

phats: I know! I'm thinking of hiring a voodoo person who deals with amphibians.

mel: I think so too. Know any voodoo priestesses?

pud: thank you....I feel your pity all the way down here in hell....

katt: Well this settles it then. We ARE sisters. You're the only person who's had this problem.

Good thing I haven't found any in the shower. A fall could be dangerous for me. I'm old. My bones are brittle.

and you're freaking me out with the scene you've described at your house....I'd feel like I was under seige by frogs.

    Oh. Wait. I already do.

  10. Oh Pissy, that's freaky! What are the odds of you seeing all these frogs?

  11. Maybe you should write a short horror story called Frogs!

  12. The fact that they manage to get inside your toilet leads me to believe that perhaps they are evolving rapidly. Or that they have a personal vendetta against you. I think swimming with a frog would be kinda cool.

  13. I live in the woods. Well frogs are everywhere. Them stinking tree frogs who love my mailbox and luv to jump on my face when opening the mailbox. Anyways we got frogs, toads whatever you want to call them in the house all the time. I am guessing they love the ceramic tile floors. We have one that will sit and stare at the tv. If I leave the door open at night they hop in for a while then hop right back out. I am actually getting used to them expect the one in the mailbox. Send your froggies on over to play with mine. :)

  14. Pissy, maybe you've never told us that you are a white witch???? Perhaps the frog is your "familiar" and wishes to help you in your witchy ways.

    FAMILIAR (noun):
An attendant spirit, often taking animal form.

  15. If you'd read your old testament, you'd see that your name is specifically mentioned in reference to the second plague of Egypt...although the relocation of from Egypt to your part of town was mostly insinuated...

    ReplyDelete
  16. You're clearly the Frog Messiah. I just hope you'll use your powers for good.

    ReplyDelete
  17. signgurl: I KNOW! :(

monk: If I were a good writer, I probably would.....

nonny: I'm going with personal vendetta.... I couldn't swim with it...I was too freaked out that it was there....

beady: See? Now your frogs sound like fun....like they could be pets or something. One that watches tv is cute! Mine? They just want to scare me...

kc: Nah, if I were a white witch, I'd be making stuff happen to/for certain people. And I'd never use a frog for a familiar. I'd have a dog as a familiar. Or at least a cat.

and this may surprise you, but I knew what a "familiar" was ;-)

toast: Sweet Man mentioned that "plague of Egypt" connection...

why couldn't there have been a "pot of gold" connection?

limpy: if I attain any powers through my association with the frogs, I have some special plans for a few people.

    and they're not good ones....

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oh, Pissy! I hope that you didn't think (from my earlier comment) that I didn't think you knew what a familiar was. Sometimes the written word doesn't convey the intended attitude of it's writer. I meant it in a laughing and loving way.

    ReplyDelete
  19. kc: oh, I knew you meant it in a laughing manner! That's why I *winked* at you in my comment! :)

  20. Duh! obviously I mean PRINCE..

  21. Pissy~ perhaps he's a price in disguise, Perhaps you should tell him your taken...

    ReplyDelete
  22. pixie: Ya think?!?!? I don't want to find out! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm with Pixie. He's a prince. You don't have to marry him, just give him a little kiss. He'll be so grateful for being released from his current incarnation that he'll probably bestow riches upon you.

All it takes it just one kiss..

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hi Big Pissy,
I’m glad to hear you have your “prince” and don’t have to kiss a frog. If you have guests that don’t want to leave, send them into the frog bathroom and they’ll be out the front door in a flash!

  25. reg: ya know.....if I though that would get rid of 'em I'd do it!

miss litzi: now see? That's a good reason to keep 'em around!

    Decisions, decisions.....

  26. I wanted you to know that I am laughing with you not at you. You are laughing aren't you?

    ReplyDelete
  27. fuzzbox: yeah, I am laughing....might as well, right? ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  28. in many cultures frogs are considered a sign of luck........I think...or is that snakes? well you're lucky they aren't snakes.:)
    missed ya.
    hugs Tc

    ReplyDelete
  29. top cat: good to "see" you again! :)

if it had been snakes, I would have died from fright the first time it happened.....
