Yes.......Five. Freakin'. Miles.
I'd type exclaimation marks but it would take too much effort to reach over there to hit the shift key.
"C" and I were apparently affected by the extreme heat when we decided it would be a good idea to "go around one more time".
It had to have been 90 degrees out there. With no breeze.
I sweat.
A lot.
Like: my clothes are soaked by the time I finish-sweat.
A hot shower, baby powder with corn starch and Aleve are my new best friends.
and WATER....lots and lots of cold water.
I'm going to slowly make my way to the couch now.....
If I survive, I'll talk to y'all tomorrow.
One more thing....
Does anybody want to come over and rub my feet?
I didn't think so.....
*sigh*

Are you trying to commit suicide? Damn, Pissy, take it easy on yourself.
ReplyDeleteRUB OFF ON ME AND MY FAT BUTT!!! RUB OFF ON ME AND MY LAZY BUTT!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! Just take it easy!
And I am NOT a bitch for not driving the 4 and some odd hours to rub your nasty feet! LOL
Luv ya!
Everything in moderation BP! Don't try and take on the world all at once!
ReplyDeleteI concur. Too much too soon. Baby steps, girl!
ReplyDeleteWhat it the world possessed you to do that? You couldn't pay me to walk 2 miles, let alone 5.
ReplyDeleteyou are insane woman- your gorgeous- no need to work out ;). Or at the very least save it for the really cute personal trainer at the air conditioned gym!
ReplyDeletesigngurl: Heh! Seemed like a good idea at the time.... I used to do it all the time, so I figured~what the hell!
ReplyDeletepeachie: you were exercising all the time...give it up? Oh c'mon...you know you want to drive down here to rub my feet! ;-)
pud: That's sounding like good advice today as I sit here with a heating pad on my back! :)
Mr. Fab: I think you're right. Back to 3 miles today....if I can move~that is!
nonny: My clothes are starting to get snug. My "fat" clothes. That's what did it....
t: Thanks! I may have to check in to that air-conditioned gym idea! ;-)
Lord, Pissy. You'll go into heat stroke down there in hell unless you pace yourself. I think the whole air conditioned gym with a hottie personal trainer is an EXCELLENT idea. I'm certain you could get some blogsome stories from that sorta situation.
ReplyDeleteI walked four miles this morning with Buddha. He was the hit of the neighborhood. All the retired walkers thought he was a cutie.
I was going to start my walking back up today but damn it is hot out and I think I got my workout just reading you walked 5 miles. Give me the ac, box of chocolates and the couch haahaa !
ReplyDeleteI was just about to go do this aswell.. now I just lost the want to. I might still have some need to though in me to get out the door.
ReplyDeleteGood for you though. Gotta go make myself do it..
Awwww....you poor thing.
ReplyDeleteWow! You are certainly ambitious! But walking so long in that heat... you must be crazy! Take it easier next time, will ya?
ReplyDeleteAh, the infamous "just one more time around the block" problem. Sort of like Admiral Scott saying "Come on guys, it's not THAT far to the South Pole"
ReplyDeletei'd rub your feet but i'm over a thousand miles away
ReplyDelete---- concern ----
take water with you
wear sunscreen
wear a hat
they make these t-shirts and shorts now that have wicking fibres that draw sweat outward from your body and make it evaporate quicker
oh, congrats on getting right into it
ReplyDeletei was only able to do just over a half and hour on my first time up
[thumbs up!]
buddha girl: Four miles pushing a stroller?!?! Good for you! and I know Baby B enjoys it sooo much!
ReplyDeleteWe walk at 4:45 'cuz that's when C can get there from work. I could do it in the a.m. and it'd be cooler, but I love the company! ;-)
beadinggal: heh! Glad to help you out! I'm all for the couch and ac myself! and of course~the chocolate! :)
jaws: it's so freakin' hard to get started!!!! Did ya do it?!?!?
mike: :)
kc: Yeah, we went a little overboard...."C" is 20 years younger than me and even SHE'S feelin' it today!
limpy: you got that right!
cadbury: I know you would~you're just that kinda guy! :)
I did have a hat on and we stopped for water after 3 miles and then I drank 2 bottles after we finished.... it was just so damn hot!
Thanks for the thumbs up! :)
Avatar, weather pixie, what's the difference? She's wearing it again.
ReplyDeletehot lips: Ay Dios Mio!
ReplyDeleteThere IS a difference!
The weather pixie is the weather pixie and I have no control over what she wears. It changes according to the weather.
The avatar is the yahoo chick who looks kinda like me and I change her clothes allllllll the time.
Good Girl Pissy!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt will get easier, I promise.
I love my workouts.
Therapy.
nowhere girl: Thanks for the encouragement! C and I went again today but only did a little over 3 miles. We'll do the 5 again tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI really need to keep it up.
I have no excuse not to, really. ;-)
